Which FIFA game is best?

I have three weeks off with a broken foot and pwopa bored already. I've never played FIFA (or kissed a girl) but a mate has leant meant his PlayStation 3 as well as FIFA 04 and FIFA 07. And also Pro Evo III. Ain't ever played any of them cos I've been too busy getting smashed off my nut on acid.
First up can they play on a PS3 because the FIFA boxes say PS2? Secondly is is worth playing 04 or 07 or just buying a later one off EBay? Which one if so? Getting fatter every day. This will assist in my dweam of pwopa obesity.
Ps: is this gonna be a cunt to learn all the buttons n that? or are there any quick hints that will score me a wondergoal every game? Pwopa gonna get into this, 20 years late.

I loved Fifa 98 (I was 13, had kissed a girl by that point and have since) as it had indoor football.
I was obviously in the minority as it has not appeared on any version since.

Ive been a FIFA fan for years.
Pro Evo was released a couple of weeks before FIFA this year (may happen every year?) so thought I'd pick up a copy for the PS4 to see what it was like.
Absolutely brilliant. To the extent that im not actually going to bother to buy FIFA. Pro Evo gives me everything I need.

I loved the version where you could tackle the goalkeeper and get an automatic red card. I think it was 98 version

Playing the Computer is painful, especially when you have them moments when you can't retrieve the ball back.
I always play Online Seasons or Ultimate Team as long as it's a live opponent

The Journey mode is fucking cliched bollocks. It could have been good.
So sick of his muggy Lewis Bloor team mate and then the nonce agent and Doreen Lawrence tweeting embarassing shit every game. Shut up Mum you cunt!
The mongy Kane is superbly accurate though.

FIFA 17 isn't a bad football game but the programming is awful and is off putting.
Alex Hunter was actually quite decent doing the trials and stuff, then Kane joined West Ham, which put me off but I carried on anyway....went to Newcastle, who pick the same second string squad every week. As if they'd leave out Shelvey, Mbemba, Krul, Sissoko, Gouffran, Gayle, Mitrovic...
Playing the computer is boring because all they do is pass pass pass without every attacking, and playing with a second string newcastle side against them is even worse.
Career mode is a total shambles. West Ham 56m and I managed to swap Carroll, Kouyate, and Obiang for Kane, Alli and Kyle Walker plus 60m....as if. The fact all the other clubs don't spend money and sell their best players. Who tested it before being released?
Online Seasons used to be good, but now they force you to play in the same kit. So I'm West Ham playing in the home strip at Palace, Everton, Southampton etc....who are all playing in their away kit at home. Seems such a minor thing to fix too.
Not a fan of ultimate team as it's clearly rigged to make money.
For all the licensing, champs league, europa, premier league etc....all you got is a game you can have friendlies with playing with your mates...which is where Pro Evo was 10-15 years ago.

Sometimes played it over the years, whenever visiting my brother, whose kids are older than mine. The only ones I've bought to own, now my kids are the right age, are 15 and 16, which I finally decided to get because they finally had the Boleyn Ground on there.
It's all come a long way since Pong.
